I recently read a Linkedin post in which someone reproduced a graph showing the average level of income received by authors. It seems to have undergone a steep decline over the last ten years or so.

In an ideal world, the Society of Authors would have picked up on this and, in conjunction with its professional advisers, worked out some alternative business models with a view to increase the income of their members. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as if this has happened. Recent coverage of the actions of the Society of Authors in the media appears to imply that their energies have been deployed in directions that seem to have no relevance at all to the well-being of their members.

If you are an author reading this and are concerned about your income for future years, please would you get in touch with us. We will be more than happy to review your business with a critical eye, and to work with you on how your income may be increased. We have many years’ experience in advising creative individuals.

We look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes for the New Year.
